Spotify, a music streaming service with more than 200 million users, has made a number of updates on their platform. After added the Car View Mode feature on January 2019, they recently presented the sleep timer feature. This time, the update is designed specifically for Android devices.
For iOS devices, this feature has already been provided. Actually Android users have enjoyed this feature through third-party applications, but of course, the default features of the application itself will be more trusted and comfort.
This sleep timer feature allows users to set sleep time which will stop playing music after the timer has finished. This feature is suitable for users who often overslept when listening to songs, so the song will automatically stop when the user falls asleep.
To activate the feature, the user must first press the icon located on the top right of the screen in the Now Playing menu. Then select Sleep Timer and select the desired time before the music turns off.
Reported by Detik, users can also choose downtime starting from 5 minutes, 10 minutes 15, minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Users can also choose to turn off the music automatically at the end of the track being played.
If you are not in need of this feature and want to deactivate it, you only need to repeat the steps to the Now Playing and Sleep Timer menu then press the turn off timer.
This feature is not only beneficial for the health of the user’s ear, and it is also able to save on the quota consumed from playing tracks and saving the use of cell phone batteries as well. This update can be enjoyed on Spotify at least on version 188.8.131.529.
