WhatsApp has officially announced that it has just launched the latest feature, the ‘dark mode’ feature. As a result, after nearly a year of trial, finally, WhatsApp has succeeded in presenting dark mode! Without any further ado, check it out below.

With the presence of dark mode, your mobile screen will not be too bright, reducing the potential for eye damage. Even so, not just anyone can directly use WhatsApp’s dark mode. The new dark mode feature on WhatsApp can be felt by users with the latest operating system versions, iOS 13 and Android 10.

So, for those of you who are still using iOS 12 and Android 9, you can also still feel this latest feature. Practically, if you want to feel the WhatsApp’s dark mode feature, immediately update your operating system. Surely you don’t want to be left behind, you have WhatsApp with the dark mode feature.

Unfortunately, you cannot feel the dark mode feature on WhatsApp Web if you frequently use a laptop or computer for WA. WhatsApp Web does not get the same treatment as WhatsApp on the mobile application or tab.

But relax, because WhatsApp reportedly will also launch a dark mode feature for WhatsApp Web. Even though you still have to wait a bit longer, not in the near future.

  1. First download the latest version of the WhatsApp application on the App Store
  2. After it has been downloaded, open the ‘settings’ on your iPhone
  3. Then push ‘display & brightness’
  4. Under ‘appearance’, you will find a ‘dark’ button that allows the entire display of your smartphone to go dark mode, including WhatsApp.
