Samsung is reportedly preparing a new feature called Quick Share that functions to send data such as Apple’s AirDrop feature. Samsung Galaxy S20 Quick Share feature will make it easier for users when they want to send photos, videos and other files between Samsung phones. Without any further ado, let’s talk about it.

The Quick Share feature from Samsung Galaxy S20 was first revealed by the XDA Developers. The way Quick Share works itself is the same as other data sharing services.

If a user is close to another user who has a smartphone-compatible with Quick Share, their name will appear and the user can send photos, videos or other files at high speed.

Quick Share offers two options for sharing data called “Contacts-only” which allows transferring data with other Samsung Social users in the contact, and the second option is “Everyone” which allows to send and receive files from anyone who has a device that is supported and located near the user’s device.

Unlike AirDrop, Quick Share allows users to upload files to the Samsung Cloud. This file can then be streamed to Samsung SmartThings devices and downloaded locally.

The file size that can be uploaded is a maximum of 1GB and the sending limit in one day is 2GB. Even so, until now there has been no clear information from Samsung regarding when this feature will be launched.
