Huawei officially introduced the Mate X on Wednesday, 23 October, 2019 in China. After such a complicated journey, finally Huawei has introduced its folding phone. Mate X Become the first Huawei folding phone and will compete directly with Samsung Galaxy Fold.

Mate X is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor that features 2 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, 2 cores clocked at 1.92GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, besides it is equipped with Barong 5000 modem, meaning this phone supports 5G network. How about RAM and internal storage? Mate X brings 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. 

To run the folding screen, Mate X will have 4,500 mAh battery with 55W fast charging. Fast charging technology is able to charge 85 percent of battery capacity in just one hour. On the other hand, the two Mate X screens have different sizes, 6.6-inch front screen and 6.38-inch rear screen.

Although having the same trend, Mate X has a different folding method with Galaxy Fold. Also, Mate X appeared earlier than Galaxy Fold actually. But in its development both of these phones experienced problems that caused delays in the launch schedule.

Mate X will go on sale officially in China on November 15, 2019. Huawei said that the distribution of Mate X will depend on 5G network providers throughout the world. So, Mate X not only can be enjoyed in China, but also throughout the world. Unfortunately, there is no 5G connection yet in Indonesia.
